YOUR WOMAN

They say you’re schizophrenic

And you don’t disagree

You’re trying to act authentic

With your unpredictability

I’m scared with you leaving

I’m losing you again

What if you find someone even

Better to be your woman?

I want to be the woman you choose

To live in that house in our home town

The local paper tells us the news

We go to my parents for a cool down

On Friday night we’re letting it loose

On Saturdays inviting friends around

I want you to want me

So I don’t have to want you still

Your ignorance and my plea

Emotions brewing up on refill

Like a triumph is any day

I act like I don’t give a damn

It’s embarrassing to openly say

I’m muting you on Instagram

I want to be the woman you choose

To live in that house in our home town

The local paper tells us the news

We go to my parents for a cool down

On Friday night we’re letting it loose

On Saturdays inviting friends around
