BUTTERFLY
You're like a butterfly
So beautiful you hold people's stare
Even when you move, they don't care
Can't look away, they're so drawn in
Nobody's expecting real depth within

And just like a butterfly
They want to catch you, they can't resist
To try to hold you tight in their fist
But you don't want that, so you refuse
'Cause you've had enough of such abuse

You got the money, got the style
Charming everyone with that smile
Even though you're on the runway scene
And they put you up on billboard screens
You don't want to be seen for the sexual
But for your true self, the intellectual

You bought dozens of butterflies
To glue them behind glasses framed
Hanging them on your wall, all tamed
To look at their beauty preserved
So finally you're the one to observe

Fluttering around me on the dancefloor
You said you felt my inner fire
Became irritated by your own desire
The soft boy with the sad eyes' gleam
And the little nervous laughs in between

You got the money, got the style
Charming everyone with that smile
Even though you're on the runway scene
And they put you up on billboard screens
You don't want to be seen for the sexual
But for your true self, the intellectual

Then when you wrapped your wings
Around me and my heartstrings
My mouth dry from the wine
Your body so close to mine
Your tips caressing me tender
What can I do, I surrender
To kiss that most beautiful face
And touch your body at your pace
To truly sense your beauty
- And not just look at it
